To be a Chartered Life Underwriter, Egil took the College’s ten two-hour-exams over two-and-a-half-days. Each exam is a course of study. For instance one may be on insurance, another on taxes, etc. This is the highest designation available for a Life Insurance Agent.
The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants is the national organization for CPAs. Each state administers the Institute’s five four-hour exams. Egil took all five exams, totaling twenty-hours in two-and-a-half-days.
After Egil finished his BA in geography at Dartmouth, he went on to his MBA at Amos Tuck School of Business Administration. After Tuck school, Egil worked for a national CPA firm for four years before entering the life insurance industry.
